Logistics: Movers

One of the things your MatchGirl decided long ago was that she could not possibly move her stuff on her own, one more time. There comes a point in your life (for me it is now, at 35 years old), when it is simply too difficult to motivate a group of your friends with promises of pizza and beer.

The Written Word

The way into the kitchenGentle readers, something that your MatchGirl has a lot of is books.

And I love to have a lot of books. Art theory books from undergrad, loads of favorite dog-eared novels, cookbooks with gorgeous pictures and cookbooks with no pictures at all.

Purging

donations2005
Gentle readers, your MatchGirl has lived in the same Brooklyn apartment for about 6 1/2 years now. It's the longest I have lived in one place since I was 10 years old. And, while I changed rooms and got rid of a lot of stuff when my old roommate moved out and before the current one moved in, that was still three years ago.

In short, there is a lot of stuff. A lot.

The amount of stuff that Boyfriend owns pretty much fits entirely in his car.
