Negotiations

Like many couples, Boyfriend and your MachGirl have a difference of opinion from time to time. I've written about it here before, much to Boyfriend's chagrin.

I don't think this is a bad thing, though. We don't right now, have a television, so our evenings are spent chatting and drinking wine, reading and blogging (yes. that last one is pretty much me). Watching TV means that we get into bed with the laptop between us and choose something that we're both interested in viewing. Or it means that Boyfriend watches something when he's home and I'm not, and vice versa. If we had a TV, I am sure there would be a bit of haggling over the remote. Or I would blog with laptop while Boyfriend watched something I was not interested in. Or Boyfriend would read while I watched something of no consequence to him.

While our tastes, do, of course, overlap, there are certain things that couples don't always agree on. Boyfriend and your MatchGirl do our best to accept these and still hang out together. Does that mean that I want to watch the entire Tour de France? Heck, no! But it means that I'm totally happy, from time to time, to let Boyfriend do his thing, and I'll do mine.
