Menu Plan: Week Thirteen

Gentle readers, the summer is a crazy time for menu planning. Things come up, plans shift, and it's hard to stick tight to a really good menu plan. Especially when you've not done all the shopping in advance! For Week Twelve's Menu Plan, we did pretty well, with a couple of changes.

Thursday your MatchGirl had a pretty rough day and though she was into the summery pasta on the plan, she didn't feel like it. I wanted some comfort food and one of my favorite comfort foods is green curry with chicken from a good Thai place. So I convinced Boyfriend that we should splurge and order in. Was definitely worth it. We shifted Thursday's meal to Friday evening and will have Cobb salads another week. We hadn't bought the ingredients yet, so it was not a big deal at all.

This week is a bit insane as well. Tuesday night your MatchGirl has a meeting and then dinner plans with girlfriends, so Boyfriend is (probably happily) on his own. What he'll eat? My bet is a burrito from the place around the corner. And next weekend we're visiting my parents - so we'll eat out a lot and we'll eat in with my mom and dad.

Monday: Tomato, basil, mozzarella salad, with some crusty bread on the side

Tuesday: eating out, or ordering in

Wednesday: Tilapia with Escarole

Thursday: It's Boyfriend's birthday on Thursday and we'll be going out for dinner before meeting friends for drinks in Williamsburg.

Friday through Sunday: We'll be in New England visiting my family. We'll have loads of seafood and soak in the salty air.

Not too much on the plan, but I think it will all be great! what are you cooking this week?
