In our living room, gentle readers, your MatchGirl and Boyfriend have a little recessed area which we have deemed our dining nook. As we make slow progress in painting and settling into our little home, this is the third "room" to be finished.
We decided to paint the area a dark, rich brown, with an almost purplish undertone - Benjamin Moore calls it "
Deep Caviar".
The color goes really nicely with our swell new
couch and we plan on using it to accent the decorative moldings on the walls of the living room (which we'll be painting the amazing "
Pink Sea Salt" from the Martha collection - it's a lot lighter in person) with it as well, which will really tie this space together.
Sure, we may just be renting, but we plan on staying here for a little while, so we're excited to really turn it into a home.
